Once again it took Bro a good 20 minutes before they found top gear but once the cup tie was levelled there was no turning back.
There was many pleasing aspects of the home win, the highlights 34 year old striker Andy Williams bagging a perfect left foot, right foot & header hat trick and the other remaining 4 goals coming from 4 separate players that were involved in the clubs junior teams last season.
Llangoed got themselves off to a perfect start after only 2 minutes into the cup tie, Jamie Roberts unstoppable header finding the back of the net and came close to capitalising again on a slow start from the home side, Jordan Space having to settle for his angled drive being tipped past the post from Dean Corbett.
Captain Dylan Roberts found himself in space at the opposite end but was denied from gloves man James Broadley's stop before Andy Williams started his successful scoring spree to make it level after 25 minutes.
The impressive Rui Da Silva powered his way through a couple of unsuccessful lungeing tackles before working into an excellent byline position to enable him to pick out and cross a ball into Williams path where the striker picked his spot and planted his header wide of Broadley for 1-1.
After only celebrating his 16th birthday 3 days ago Jac Thomas was soon celebrating again as, after opening his goal account on Saturday, he bagged another goal to put Bro in the lead.
Cutting in from wide before selling the stopper with a confident bit of trickery and slipping the ball into the net.
The cup tie was all over with 2 goals in 2 minutes on the stroke of the break, Tom Wilkes hard work gaining his reward, finishing with a right footed strike from an acute angle that looped over the gloves man and dropped into the net for 3-1 before Williams dispatched a left footed strike that bounced low into the corner past the static keeper.
Half-Time 4-1.
Da Silva deservedly got on the score sheet after 58 minutes, all be it with the help of the disappointed keeper.
Launching a low shot that squirmed through the keepers grasp for 5-1.
Home stopper Corbett showed he was still on his toes despite not being tested too often, performing a close range double save to deny Wayne Thomas before Williams completed his perfect night.
After already finishing with a header and left footed finish he confidently accepted the through ball to pick his spot in the net and finish with this time his right foot to make it 6-1.
Ryan Jones finished the rout in stoppage time and again it was one that the keeper would want to forget, firing a drive from the edge of the box that seemed to be weakly pushed into the net by the goal keeper and make it 7 up for Bro.
Full-Time 7-1.
concentration and individual errors cost dearly.
