CHAMPIONS DESTROYED AT CAE NERYS AS BRO RUN RIOT IN 11-2 WIN .........writes Paul Scholes. Followed by `OUTSIDERS VIEW'

Bro left it until the final league fixture to produce their best performance of the season, humiliating champions Valley 11-2 at Cae Nerys .
Valley Athletic have so far been Bro Goronwy's bogey side this season, coming out on top in all 4 games played against each other but Bro gained revenge for last weeks injury time cup final defeat by destroying the newly crowned champions in a rousing 11-2 home win.
Giving Valley a deserved guard of honour onto the pitch as recognition of their title success was the only favour they gave the visitors all afternoon as Bro then out fought and out passed Valley in all areas of the pitch.
The feeling from the start of the match was that it was to be a goals galore afternoon but no one could have envisaged the way Bro Goronwy took the champions apart by having more hunger and desire aswell as playing some outstanding passing moves.
The game was to start with a goal a piece from both sides in the opening 5 minutes, Jerome Silence was to punish a defensive lapse to put Valley 1-0 to the good but immediately Andy Williams got Bro straight back into the game, punishing a lapse in the defence to finish low past Dan Jones.
A good passing move so nearly put Bro ahead, Chris Hough picking out Taylor Jones who placed his header wide but it became 2-1 after 21 minutes to Goronwy.
Sam Regan dispatching a bullet of a free kick that had stopper Jones watching it sail into the net all the way.
Taylor Jones again went close at the near post before younger brother Connor's blistering run nearly produced a 3rd goal.
Connor Jones was indeed to get on the score sheet after 29 minutes, this time trying his luck 30 yards out from the goal, striking a dipping shot over the gloves man.
Minutes later Valley were back within sight of the game, Casey Boylan finding the corner of the net low past Gareth owen from a well controlled free kick to make it 3-2.
Valley travelled to Moelfre with only 11 players and after Shaun Jenkins had to leave the field of play due to an injury after 37 minutes it was always going to be a long afternoon for the North Anglesey side.
Taylor Jones followed his brother onto the score sheet after a tantalising move, Hough combining well with Andy Williams who picked out Jones for a confident finish to give Bro a 4-2 interval lead.
Half-Time 4-2.
Numerous chances were created and not taken before Bro Goronwy eventually managed to increase their lead.
Ryan Jones scuffing wide and then having a shot saved, Andy Swindells dancing his way through the defence before being thwarted from Jones and then Swindells having to watch his next attempt cleared off the line.
After 63 minutes Andy Williams made it 5-2 with a shot that was too hot to handle for keeper Jones and that was the signal for Valley's heads to drop and the goals to flow for the rampant home side.
Piers Dudley soon got in on the act with a deadly finish for the 6th before Ryan Jones started his hat trick scoring spree, his 2nd hat trick in successive games, heading into the net at the far post from Williams' corner.
Ryan Jones then plundered his 2nd of the match and Bro's 8th, executing a curling finish after a strong run.
There was to be no let up from Bro's onslaught as Connor Jones found the back of the net again, first to the knock down after Williams had smashed an effort onto the crossbar and making no mistake past the stricken stopper for 9-2.
On 82 minutes Bro reached the magical double figure, Andy Swindells rapid strike taking a slight deflection past the once again dumbstruck keeper for 10-2.
Ryan Jones was not yet finished as he completed his hat trick and astonishingly Bro's eleventh goal of the afternoon, with players queuing up in the box he took control of the situation to once again find the back of the net and bring to an end a complete destruction of the newly crowned champions.
Valley Athletic will point to an understrength side and being reduced to 10 men on 37 minutes due to lack of squad numbers but the form Bro were in it was not going to be their day no matter what and this win gives Bro the momentum to look for a trophy before the end of season.
Full-Time 11-2.

OUTSIDERS VIEW:

It was an excellent and very sporting gesture by Bro Goronwy to give visitors VALLEY a guard of honour and to applaud them on to the field for their achievement in winning the league. It speaks volumes for the clubs organization and quality.
To then go out and defeat them by such a score [11-2] speaks volumes for their quality on the field.

Having led the league almost all season, to end up in third place must be disappointing, and somewhat ironic that BRO were the only club that, Cemaes Bay, who pipped them for runners-up , failed to win against in any league fixture or cup tie throughout the season.
No doubt the neutrals amongst our readers will be looking to see them gain a trophy before the season ends. So watch out for the two outstanding Cup Finals, The ASSIST a CLAIM TROPHY and The BWLCH CAR BOOT TROPHY.
