BEST WISHES RHYS ON YOUR `OP' TODAY

By McCann Dave

WE ARE THINKING OF YOU

On the results sent out last night, the Maes y Bryn v Llanfairfechan Res., game showed as abandoned due to serious injury.

The young man who suffered the injury was Rhys Griffiths playing for Llanfairfechan. Rhys home address is Trevor Villa, Penmaenmawr Road, LLANFAIRFECHAN GWYNEDD LL33 0PN

I asked Lorrie, the teams Secretary, to let me know how he was and she kindly e-Mailed last hight to give an update on the condition of Rhys and and to thank those who assisted, and I pass on the information as there were a lot of very concerned people there last night.

FROM LORRIE:- {When she says `both' she refers to Dennis and Jason , manager Maes y Bryn]

" Just to let you know Rhys has broken his tibia and fibula and will have an operation tomorrow - he seems in reasonably good spirits considering.

Thank you both for the support tonight - and Dennis thank you so much for your time and support at the scene. The lady from Bangor FC was extremely helpful as well.

Just to confirm Rhys was wearing shin pads - but they are typical of modern design - light weight and don't cover as much as the leg as I would prefer to see -(sounds like a Mum talking).

Anyway unfortunately these things happen in football"

I know that those involved with the KWAFL wish to send their best wishes and support to Rhys and our message to Rhys is simply...................

GOOD LUCK RHYS, AND BEST WISHES FOR, A VERY SUCCESSFUL `OP' TODAY, THAT LEADS TO A VERY QUICK RETURN TO NORMAL MOBILITY AND TO FOOTBALL WHEN YOU FEEL READY. Our thoughts are with you
