A consecutive Ioan Hughes hat trick secured a 4-2 win but Bro had to pull something out of the bag in a not so top gear performance .........
Bro were made to fight all the way for this victory as Cefni twice pegged the hosts back but were undone in the closing stages.
What would have pleased club officials was the continuing involvement in the 1st team of players emerging from the under 16's side, this time Rui Da Silva impressive starting the match in centre midfield and Connor Lewis not looking out of place making his senior debut.
It was not to be a fruitful 1st half performance from the Moelfre men as they couldn't get out of 1st gear even after Ioan Hughes, fresh from a hat trick in his last game, opened the scoring on 26 minutes.
Dribbling through the away back line from a wide position before giving gloves man Gwynfor Williams not a chance, unleashing a smashed left footed finish high into the net.
Moments before the interval the market town men were level, Iwan Jones taking his chance by looping the ball far enough away from stopper Hawkes' reach.
Half-Time 1-1.
Goronwy knew a better 2nd half display was required and they were true to their word as they began to dominate the match but the lead in the game did not come until near on 20 minutes from the final whistle.
Ioan Hughes instinctively finishing to continue his rich goal scoring form, latching on to a through ball and letting the ball travel across his body to finish across the goal into the net at the far post.
Llangefni would not lie down at this stage and again drew level in the game, this time Hawkes could only parry a testing shot to leave Gareth Hughes a simple tap in for 2-2.
In the end to end game it wasn't long before Bro were again back ahead, defender Chris Hough feeding a ball into Taylor Jones' feet where the striker showed a skilful 1st touch to spin away from danger before applying a near post finish.
Clear daylight between the 2 sides did not arrive until 86 minutes had been played and it came from Ioan Hughes completing his hat trick to follow on from his previous games treble.
Another directed cross field ball from Hough evaded full back Gavin Buckland and was intelligently dummied by debutant Connor Lewis into Taylor Jones' path who delightfully squared the pass to Hughes to bury his chance through a crowded box to seal a 4-2 win.
Full-Time 4-2.
