SEE UNBEATEN MYNYDD TOP GROUP B

Saturday 22nd of OCTOBER 2016
Kon-x Wales Anglesey League teams turned their attention to the BWLCH Car-Boot Cup, played on a league basis of two groups A and B with the group winners meeting in the final

GROUP B
Llangoed may be enjoying life as league leaders, but they are certainly not having it all their own way in the cups. Dumped out of the Elias last week, they travelled to undefeated group leaders Mynydd LLandegai hoping for better fare. But Mynydd are enjoying a good run
and were in no mood to be swept aside. Liam Owen extending his goal scoring run by putting the hosts ahead to hold a half-time lead 1-0
The second half saw Mike Williams crack home a free-kick to double the lead and on the hour mark, Cieran O’Shea Brady was on hand to find the net in a crowded box adding a third. Llangoed could not be faulted for effort, creating a number of chances only to find home keeper David Ball in inspired form as he pulled off four or five excellent stops, but even he could not keep out a Mitchell Jones header that gave Llangoed a glimmer of hope [3-1]. That glimmer disappeared when Alex Griffiths struck a free-kick from just inside the opposition half that flew into the net [4-1] Mynydd remain unbeaten in the group and now have a three point lead over Llangoed.
Bodorgan Juniors enjoying a good run, travelled to Bethesda with hopes high and they started brightly, creating a number of chances which should have been converted, Then on 35 minutes Aaron Jones struck a tremendous effort from the left into the far corner of the net. This was the signal for the Juniors to press home their advantage and on 42 minutes Luke Allaway headed home from a Patterson cross Two minutes later Patterson was on hand to slide the ball into the net and give the \Juniors a half time lead [0v3]
The second half was just five minutes old when Luke Allaway was again put through to convert after a neat inter change of passing from Patterson and Aaron Jones. The Juniors had been thwarted by home keeper McLeod on many occasions but on stood no chance on 60 minutes when Elliot Patterson struck a neat angled shot into the net following good play from Aaron Jones. To be fair Bethesda's young team did create more openings in the second half and kept going to the end but when Roberts was upended in the Juniors box on 89 minutes the penalty was tamely struck and easily saved by Juniors keeper Josh Roberts which summed up Bethesda's afternoon. Jason Owen for the Juniors gave a star performance and Tomos Eames for Bethesda
