BWLCH CAR-BOOT WINS FOR VALLEY & HOLY HEAD

Kon-x Wales Anglesey League teams turned their attention to the BWLCH Car-Boot Cup, played on a league basis of two groups A and B with the group winners meeting in the final
In group A, the goal machine that is Holyhead Town were in `Seventh Heaven’ as they continue to sweep aside the opposition. Victims this time round were Bryngwran Bulls whose hopes must have been lifted when Tony Meyers converted a James Ryan cross.
Town hardly blinked an eye at what some would have seen as a set-back, but just increased the pressure which quickly paid off, Shaun Davies running on to a through ball to win a one on one with the keeper and it was all square. Then a Tom Roberts effort hit the woodwork before going in off a defender to give them a half-time lead [2-1]
Roberts soon found the net drilling home a cross from the edge of the box. [3-1]The Bulls battled to hold them but there was no stopping them and Shaun Davies used his pace to twice leave defenders floundering as he ran on to beat the keeper and complete his hat-trick. Tom Hadley enjoyed a one on one with the keeper by netting the sixth and Mathew Thomas rounded it off with the seventh to see Town top the group with the Bulls in second place,
Valley tucked in just behind, but with a game in hand, had their own `hot-shot’ to silence visitors Pentraeth with a 4-0 verdict. That was Jerome Silence who hit all his teams’ four goals. He enjoyed good service and three times ran on to well played through balls to hold his nerve and slip the ball past the keeper. Pentraeth struggled to hold their hosts and Jerome Silence achieved a personal feat when he hit goal number four and scored all his sides’ goal tally.
