EIGHT GOAL BONANZA IN CUP CLASSIC

SATURDAY’s games both Bwlch car-boot ties:-

Whilst Bro Goronwy were no doubt feeling deflated at Friday night’s Elias Cup Final result, they received `a pick me up’ on Saturday when Gaerwen, who were pushing them for the group two place in the Bwlch car-boot Cup final failed to fulfil their fixture against Llangefni Town Res., on the Saturday. With the likely hood they will forfeit the tie [as per rule] it leaves them with a possible maximum
point’s total of 12 - if they win their two remaining games. Bro Goronwy who already have nine points with three games to play can have twelve points if they win at Llanfairpwll on Monday are as such are well on course for another final.

Fellow finalist, Valley, also received a boost when they heard the result in the `battle of the Bay’s. The two in form teams, Cemaes Bay and Trearddur Bay put on a classic eight goal thriller. Trearddur having conceded ground advantage showed it meant nothing as Andrew Williams put them ahead on three minutes, and Mike Jones doubled their lead [27].
Cemaes, needing a goal........`who ya gona call’.......... ......................Steve Mason! The inspirational captain duly obliged and struck on thirty one minutes and six minutes later he had the scores level. Undaunted, Trearddur regained the lead Jordan Jones netting before half-time. Jordan Jones netted again two minutes into the second half, but back came Cemaes and that man Mason registered yet another hat-trick[3-4].Cemaes desperately needing a win if they are to `pip Valley’ as the group one finalists. Kieran Thomas struck the equalizer to make it 4-4 but they were unable to clinch the win. Which was received with great pleasure by Valley as the news came through. Cemaes have now played four and have seven points, by winning their two remaining games they can make a maximum of 13 points. Valley having played and won two, have six points and as such can amass eighteen points. A win against Cemaes on their visit to Valley on the Bank Holiday Monday [4/5/15] would give them NINE points and reduce the maximum total Cemaes could make to ten, whilst Valley would still have three games remaining to pick up one point............It’s beginning to looking like a repeat of Friday night’s final BRO Goronwy v Valley,

BUT remember, there’s many a slip twix cup and lips.

Where Steve Mason is concerned you need him where you can see him, or he will score goals...........nother hat-trick yesterday

Where next?
