CEMAES CRUISE TO FOURTH

By McCann Dave

WITH THREE MORE POINYTS

In the KonX Wales AFL, the only league .match took place at Llangoed where the visitors were Cemaes Bay, the only side to remain unbeaten in any competition this season. The hosts on the other hand are yet to register a point, despite playing some good football and creating chances. As chairman Owain Williams remarked “we have been losing games by the odd goal or by failing to add to a lead once in front. Had we not lost last season’s leading scorer we would most certainly have points in the bag by now.
Cemaes, well aware of those comments came expecting and being prepared to battle all the way and so it turned out to be.
The game ebbed from end to end as both teams sought to gain control and Llangoed holding thjeir own. The break through came just over the half-hour mark and it was the Bay who edged ahead with Sion Wyn Griffiths inflicting the damage [32].

The hosts knew they had to up the ante if they were to get anything out of the game but they would need to be careful of being caught on the break, but before they had any chance of putting the game plan into ac and the visitors doubled their lead within minutes of the restart and once again it was Griffiths striking his second as they went on to collect three more points and move to fourth place.
