GUEST REPORT: courtesy of Mr Alan Gray:-

Cemaes bay welcomed Trearddur bay to the lane for the third time this season.
Having won the previous two meetings 5-0 and 3-0 Cemaes were favourites. Or
Could it be third time lucky for Nigel chambers and his lads?
> The game kicked off and it was obvious that the windy weather was going to
Slow down a game between two good footballing passing teams. With it being
Almost impossible for any team to play long ball, Cemaes were instructed by the
Management to "keep it on the deck". The first chance fell to Cemaes on 12 mins
When some neat play and a knife through butter esq pass from Ricky Jones played
in Huw Torr who placed it top left only for Trearddur bay new 16 year old keeper
Michael Bentley to somehow not only save it but to catch it! Remarkable. Cemaes
Continued to win the battle in midfield and Keenan Downey put in Dan Jones who
was one on one but blasted over. The breakthrough came on 35 mins when Steve
Mason crossed in the ball for Kieran Thomas to nod home. Half time and again the
instruction off the management team was to "keep it on the deck" second half and
It was Trearddur bay turn to have a few chances but Cemaes defend superbly
Through first Kieran Thomas, secondly a couple of Lewis Connor tackles and
Thirdly a couple of saves off john Arron Jones. A couple of tactical changes and
substitutions with Oliver hall and Ryan Jones coming on paid dividends
Immediately as Dan Jones scored a low hard shot from outside the box from a
Lewis Connor cross. Cemaes thought they could sit back and relax, wrong! Not
Against this Trearddur bay team as instantly Jordan Jones scored with a great
Strike for them. Trearddur bay really pressuring but Cemaes defended well as
Andy Powell and Lewis Connor continued to tackle superbly. An equalizer nearly
Came but for a Ryan Jones double block. Trearddur bay were then reduced to ten
men as their substitute who hadn't even touched the ball was dismissed for a
studs showing high challenge which left Huw Torr with a bad stud mark on his
Ankle. Cemaes pressed and an incredible triple save from Michael Bentley denying
them that. Final whistle 2-1.
> A hard fought win for Cemaes who played well as did Trearddur bay. I reckon
the weather conditions stopped this from being a classic between two good teams
that like to play football.

All the best to Trearddur Bay manager Nigel chambers who has some cracking lads on board there especially young Michael Bentley, between the sticks.
