TOM's TREMENDOUS TREBLE TAKES TOWN TO FINAL

Only one KWAF League fixture survived the weather and that – for the second week running, was at Bodorgan who played hosts to Valley in the final tie in the William HILL ELIAS CUP where Holyhead Town squeezed past Mynydd Llandegai by the odd goal in five thanks to a Tom Hadley Hat-trick

Two weeks ago Holyhead played host to Mynydd Llandegai Res., in a league match and salvaged a draw with an 80th minute equalizer. So they were well aware of the task ahead if they were to make their second Cup Final.
It was certainly another close game and on a wet afternoon the visitors again took the lead. Town only partially cleared a Llan’ free kick and the ball was quickly played back in where Liam Owen ran on to beat the keeper[22nd Min 0-1]
The set back only served as a wake-up call and the hosts were level four minutes later A great run down the left by Sion Davies ended with a perfect ball across the box where Tom Hadley was clear to tap in at the back post [26 min [1-1].

Town went in front for the first time in the game when Jackie Welsh directed his header to Tom Hadley who calmly slotted it past the keeper [36min 2-1]

Back came Llan’ and a counter attack down the left saw the ball crossed to Liam Owen whose point blank shot was brilliantly ;palmed away by keeper Nick Murphy only to fall nicely to Mike Holroyd who made no mistake with the rebound [60th Min 2-2]

Two well matched sides looked to be heading for extra time when Town gained a free kick 30 yards from goal and with three minutes remaining up stepped YES you guessed, 17 year old Tom Hadley to blast a thunderbolt straight past the Llan GK to complete his hat-trick and send Town into a second final.

Town Manager Craig Brodie paid complement to the opposition saying,: "Llandegai are a really strong side, difficult to break down and quick on the break so I'm happy with the performance of every player today"

Bodorgan welcomed Dargie Cup finalist Valley to Cae Cob bur if they tough the visitors with an eye on Fridays Final might just go through the motions they were wrong. Valley went for it from the off and were ahead after 4 minutes Liam Patrick fired a free kick home the ball taking a wicked deflection to fool the home keeper .Within a minute Valley doubled the lead Justin Williams tapped in from close range .The visitors were running midfield but as the half wore on the Juniors got to grips with their game and Aron Jones fired wide on 20 minutes and on 25 minutes Gerwyn Williams fired over from a corner
On 30 minutes Ryan Hall made it three, and they extended their lead before half-time Ryan Coll on hand to tap home from close in. .Half time 0v4.
The juniors were now contesting mid--field and the match ebbed and flowed from end to end. And Elliot Patterson twice went close., bit with nine minutes remaining Justin Williams ran through the Juniors defence and fired towards goal the ball striking the keepers foot and going in. The Juniors kept going and were grabbed a consolation goal that was just reward and fitting that Elliot Patterson should find the net having gone close two or three times earlier. The Juniors have , in the last fortnight, played both Dargie Finalists Valley and Llangoed, and can see it being a close game even though being played on a bigger and more tiring field at Bangor City F.C.
