LANCE WILLIAMS DRAWS LEVEL WITH TOM TAYLOR

By McCann Dave

AS PRESSURE ON THE TWO MOUNTS

Lance Williams goal after just 50 seconds at Llandegfan brought the Menai Bridge striker level on 18 goals with Tom Taylor of Pentraeth.

Tom did manage two goals on saturday but as they were scored in the NWCFA Junior Cup could not be included. Likewise, ream mate Gareth Roberts who scored twice as many as Tom could not include his 4.

Jack Higgins of Llandegfan Antelope, who appeared as a second half substitute due to work commitments, did not score in the 3-2 victory and stays on 16.

The main climber was MIke Williams of Trearddur Bay UTd., Reserves who scored four last saturday at Cemaes Bay and is now on 11.

Long term absentee-through injury, Asa Thomas returned to action and was quickly back on the score-sheet with two but again these were in a cup tie and are not included but it strikes a warning not only to defences, but to the leading scorers that they have another hot shot to worry about.
