Saturday 29th of OCTOBER 2016
Kon-x Wales Anglesey League teams returned their attention to league duty their cup exploits the last two Saturdays. League leaders, Llangoed and District, having suffered Cup defeats on both those Saturdays knew it was imperative they picked up maximum points against visitors Bodorgan Juniors bearing in mind the form of second placed Holyhead

LLANGOED & DISTRICT 3 V 1 BODORGAN JUNIORS
Gone are the days when teams could be excused for anticipating three points with the visit of the juniors. They have improved considerably and are a match for any team on their day, and so the first half proved. It was an evenly fought contest with both sides creating chances and both keepers being called on to pull off excellent stops. With thirty five minutes on the clock Juniors hit man Luke Allaway raced on to a through ball to leave himself in a one on one with the ,keeper an slot the ball home in style [H/t 0 V 1].
The hosts found their rhythm and had the better of the second half. A corner swung over found Carwyn Williams at the far post from where he headed it back towards the penalty spot and where Craig Jones steadied himself before heading home for the equalizer. Llangoed took the lead, when Jamie Roberts played the ball in to Craig Jones and he despatched the ball into the net from the edge of the box. The visitors were hanging on now and close to the end another corner kick found substitute Owain Roberts and he headed the third to settle the points that were absolutely essential to the leaders as Holyhead creep up on them

Holyhead Town 4 v 1 Pentraeth Reserves
As Llangoed look over their shoulder they see the threat to their Title challenge......Holyhead Town. Town just three points adrift have two games in hand and are `scoring for fun’. Four more were added in their victory over Pentraeth Reserves who replied with one.
It took just fourteen minutes for Town to take the lead, when they were awarded a penalty and sure shot, Tom Hadley. stuck it away. The lead was quickly doubled, Barry Roberts clipped a delightful ball over the top for Shaun Davies to race on to and slip the ball past the keeper. Pentraeth settled and got into the game more and pulled a goal back, however, the hosts regained the two goal advantage. With the half-time break fast approaching, a goal bound shot from Shaun Davies rebounded back in to the box where Tom Hadley blasted it back ensuring this time it hit the back of the net. [H/T 3-1]
Pentraeth’s improvement continued in the second period and the game became much more competitive, even so. There was no way Holyhead were going to let it slip and with some ten minutes remaining, and Hadley looking to his hat-trick, they were awarded a free-kick some 25 yards out. Despite the distance3 up stepped Tom Hadley to send the ball into the roof of the net to complete a hat-trick, the three points, and ensure their Title challenge continues

Valley 1 v 4 Bryngwran Bulls
Third placed Valley entertained a Bryngwran Bulls side that just lacks consistency, only to find it was one of their good days and they took an early lead through Matty Roberts. The Bulls added a second when an Andrew Bailey shot found the net. The goal was later credited to team-mate Dylan Jones who was quick to point out it took a deflection of his knee. Valley were quick to respond, Jerome silence pulling on back.
The visitors were enjoying plenty of possession and Nathan Lewis pounced in a crowded box to restore the two goal advantage and Andrew Bailey did get his name on the list of scorers with the fourth. And the win puts the Bulls one point behind Valley having played the same number of games.
