"BRO SING IN THE RAIN AFTER 2nd HALF SUCCESS

It was all about getting the result tonight at a wet and windy Talwrn Road as Bro held on to their top spot ........

The opening exchanges were about as bright as the gloomy weather as both teams failed to worry any of the keepers. In a competitive match Town set out to stifle Bro's attacking prowess and themselves looked to counter on the break.
It took 20 minutes for the 1st chance to be created, Taylor Jones well placed at the near post for Bro but could only skew wide.
Sam Regan used all his midfield expertise to set up Andy Williams with a sublime curled pass but the attacker could only drill his shot wide as the away side looked to take the lead before the break.
Good inter passing between Bro's front 2 , Williams & Jones, looked the best way of breaking the deadlock but could not penetrate the organised home back line.
Cefni's captain Gavin Buckland tried his luck from long range but could not keep his shot down and only a last ditch Dylan Jones interception prevented Dion Roberts from giving the home side a lead at the interval.
Half Time 0-0.
Bro came out from the rest looking to up the pace of the game and take the match to the hosts. Andy Williams displaying his dribbling skills down the right flank creating chaos in the penalty area but Richard Williams could not direct his shot past keeper Gwynfor Williams.
For Town, Dylan Williams could not have struck his set piece any sweeter but failed to send the ball either side of gloves man Hawkes as he showed good grasping skills in the wet conditions.
Williams was finding his stride and after loosing centre half Dylan Jones he beared down on the goal from an angle only to get too excited and smash over.
The game changed as Bro made alterations from the side line, debutant Tristram Lee entering the field and immediately his quick pace and pin point passing had the home defence scrambling.
Finally the opening goal came after 71 minutes and it was to be for the league leaders.
A long Sweetser-Hawkes pump up field caused mayhem in the conditions and after a mix up between keeper and defender Taylor Jones did not hesitate to roll the ball into the empty net.
Bro settled after gaining the opener and it was to be another substitute who had a big hand in the clinching goal, again a direct ball in the conditions produced the damage, Jordan Scott using his strength to hold the ball up and precisely flick into the path of Andy Willams' run who belted the ball home from close range.
Cefni still looked nippy up front but couldn't penetrate the solid looking back line, Arwel Williams wasting the last chance of the game, heading over from a fine cross.
Full-Time 0-2."
