LLANFAIRPWLL RES. MOVE INTO THIRD PLACE

By McCann Dave

WITH LATE GOALS AT BODORGAN

Llanfairpwll Res, travelled to much improve Bodorgan, who won their first game last week away at Llangefni Town Reserves. The game proved to be a bit of a letdown as neither side performed to their true capabilities and the first half-half finished goal-less. The second period did not seem to improve much until Llanfairpwll Manager Vinnie Walker introduced substitute Ryan Parsons in the sixty third minute. He had only had two touches but his third proved decisive and broke the deadlock. Receiving the bar at the edge of the box he deliberately clipped the ball into the far corner [65]. This set back saw the hosts pushing for an equalizer and it left them a bit venerable at the back, and with nine minutes remaining after one such move the ball was `spilled’ by the keeper and first to react was Caerwyn Roberts who tucked the ball home for number two.
Despite the victory, which secures third place for Llanfairpwll Reserves, Manager Vinnie Walker said, "It was a disappointing game from the point of view of quality of performance – for both teams, and it was a game that a draw might have been a fairer result.”
