LLANFAIRPWLL RESERVES VICTORY SETS STAGE FOR TITLE DECIDER

The KonX Wales Anglesey league TITLE is again going to the wire following Llanfairpwll’ Reserves victory over visitors Valley in their penultimate fixture. ^The Champions and Runners-up wall be decided at Llanfair next Wednesday, kick-off 6:15 when leaders Bro Goronwy are the visitors and need to avoid defeat to take the title. For Llan it requires an outright victory
It took Llanfair just thirteen minutes to open the scoring, leading scorer Shaun Morris finding the net from a right wing corner kick to set Llanfair on their way. But seven minutes later the cheers could be heard from Bro Goronwy, when Palana Loreza collected the ball wide on the left and cut in to strike a low shot into the far corner. [1-1] Game on
Valley were giving it their best shot but a couple of minutes from they break Chris Hughes beat the offside trap to poke home from a yard out. [h/t 2-1]
The turning point came when keeper Phil Evans pulled off an amazing save to deny Valley an equalizer and they then went further behind, Steve Tindall from the penalty spot and there was no way back when Tindall headed his second [4-1]. Chris Hughes notched his second to make it 5-1 and set the stage for next Wednesday’s show down.
