League leaders, Bro Goronwy, turned their attention to the Bwlch Car Boot trophy and as inorgual winners last season, no doubt travelled to Llangoed full of confidence. That confidence must have received a massive boost when Gareth Owen put them ahead after just two minures. But Llangoed, who are current Group A leaders, are certainly no `pushovers’ and leading scorer Wayne Thomas had them level seven minutes later and Bro struggled to hold them. The hosts were awarded a penalty just before half-time which Craig Jones confidentially tucked away to lead 2 v 1 at the break.
Llangoed continued to press and deserved to add to their lead but the best chance fell to Bro when they were awarded a penalty with ten minutes left on the clock but the normally reliabe Andy Williams had a bearings malfunction sending his spot kick `high and wide’ and the hosyts made thedm pay with when five minutes later John Riley clinched it with goal number three.
Llangoed have finished their games and have 13 points, whilst Bro have 9 points with two to play and MUST NOT lose. Four points will give top spot on goal difference and a place in the final.

Jerome Sillence hit a `double hat-trick in the TEN goal victory but, Borja Plana Lorenzo couldn’t quite make it, settling for a double, and Justin Hughes and Justin Williams rouinded off the ten goal

Llanfairpwll’ reserves much postponed NWCFA Junior Cup tie finally went ahead with the Anglesey outfit victors by the odd goal in three.

Llangoed's keeper Rhys Owen palms a cross to safety.
