IN THE ASSIST A CLAIM CUP TIE V LLANGOED & DISTRICT

LLanfairpwll made the semi-final with their victory over Gaerwen Res., in the other tie,

Meanwhile Valley were doing what they do best.......
winning.
This time it was the quarter-final of the renamed, ASSIST A CLAIM CUP – previously known as the IPP Trophy, against visitors Llangoed & District who placed their trust in sixteen year old Keeper George Lewis for this daunting tie.

Valleys, unbeaten since October were quick to settle and took the lead with Ashley Hughes finding the net from the half way line. They doubled their lead with half an hour gone when Shane Boylan sent over a cross that Connor Williams nodded in at the far post. Now it was getting tough for the visitors but they stuck at it until another Shane Boylan cross was contested by a number of players and the ball found the net of the head of a defender.

Valley were virtually home and dry when Ashley Hughes thought he would try his luck again and his shot from some thirty five yards hit the net for 4-0. Valley will now meet.................................

CEMAES BAY in the semi final.
