WITH FOUR GOAL BLAST AGAINST VALLY

Tuesday 25th of August 2015

Valley F.C., current leaders and the only team left with a hundred percent record travelled to Bro Goronwy for what was expected to be a tight game, despite Valley being a much changed from last season’s champions. Valley started well and
home keeper, Dean Corbett pulled off a fine save to deny Justin Williams before the hosts slowly began to take over.. The dead-lock was broken on twenty five minutes when centre half, Gareth Owen, rose head and shoulders above everyone to
Powerfully head home. The goal stunned the visitors and it wasn’t long before Bro increased their lead, when youngster Dan Fairhead notched his 1st ever goal the team, cutting through midfield he then let fly with a low ground shot that skipped off the surface to nestle in the back of the net. Valley needing to get back into the game suffered another blow minutes before half-time, Ryan Jones running on to a defence splitting pass by Fairhead to finish in style.
Valley had a couple of chances early on in the 2nd half but failed to take them and Callum Thomas rounded matters off, heading home from close in. The three points put Bro at the top with a one point lead over three clubs separated only by goal difference.
