TOM TAYLOR HITTING HIS FOURTH CONSECUTIVE HAT-TRICK

Pentraeth, now the only team in the League with a 100% record are in second place, just seven points adrift of the leaders but with THREE games in hand and next Saturday travel to Holyhead to meet the Leaders. They took just ten minutes to go in front against Amlwch Town Reserves, Taylor creating the opening and Gareth Roberts getting his head to it just before the defender. Tom Taylor looking to score a FOURTH consecutive hat-trick headed home to make it 2-0. Their third soon followed, when Mark Williams picked up the ball from Dylan Roberts, and ran 30 yards, beat a couple of defenders before letting fly with a powerful drive past the helpless Goalkeeper. Pentraeth were now buzzing and Captain Tom Taylor scored his second. Amlwch pulled one back when their ex player Ricky Jones glanced a header back to his keeper who was not on the same wavelength and the ball flew into the net for a classic own goal. Half Time 4-1
In the second half Sam Regan scored with a well placed header from a superb Llion Williams cross. At 5-1, and Taylor having scored two, everyone was willing him to get a third and sure enough it wasn’t long in coming. He latched on to a ball played in by strike partner Gareth Roberts to run on and complete his hat-trick. A FOURTH CONSECUTIVE HAT-TRICK, an achievement that has not been equalled in the last ten years or more, or ever... unless someone knows different? After that the seventh goal was a bit of an anti climax but not for Gareth Roberts who after being tripped in the box got up to take the penalty, and scored.
The Man of the Mach award went to ........... you have twelve guesses!! YES TOM TAYLOR
