FIRST WIN FOR CEMAES BAY IN

By McCann Dave

BETFRED TROPHY V AMLWCH T.RES

In the BETFRED TROPHY round one tie, Cemaes Bay registered their first win of the season with a 3-2 verdict against Amlwch Town Reserves, and the five goals were scored by just two players. Amlwch began well and created a number of chances that they failed to take and which saw the Bay gain in confidence and take the game to their opponents. Sion Daniels scored both the Amlwch goals, twice giving them the lead, whilst Dylan Jones had netted both for the Bay to equalize and the scores stood level with just five minutes to go. Then the Bay were given the ideal opportunity to take the lead when match Official Mr Derek Owen, awarded a penalty. Up stepped Dylan Jones and he confidently despatched it into the net to complete his hat-trick, earn his team their first win and put them in round two as there was no time for Amlwch to pull it back.
