ROUND-UP -
The clash of the day in the KonX Wales Anglesey football league was the visit of second placed Pentraeth to Llanfairpwll Reserves who lay just behind in third place and with Morawelon not playing; an away win would see the leaders displaced for the first time this season. Despite an excellent showing by the hosts, Pentraeth were not going to be denied and took the lead through Gareth Roberts [40]. In the second half the hosts battled to pull it back but whilst temporarily down to ten men Tom Taylor headed home from a corner. Taylor later added a second and Pentraeth sit proudly at the top of the table.

Llandegfan Antelope, in fifth place entertained fourth placed Aberffraw who are proving a difficult team to beat, but in a close encounter with neither side dominating the three points finally went to the hosts thanks to a Gerwyn Roberts strike [76]

Trearddur Bay United Res were another home side to win by a single goal, scored by Mike Williams following a move down the right against visitors Llangoed & District.

Menai Bridge Tigers were in seventh heaven with a seven nil victory over Llangefni Town Res., that sees them leap-frog their opponents in the table. Lance Williams and Andrew Barker were amongst the goals again, with Williams claiming a hat-trick whilst Barker, who struck the two `openers’ was denied a hat-trick when his goal bound blockbuster hit a defender knocking him over and he had to settle for a double. Keith Owen and Alex Jones –with the goal of the game, were the other scorers. The Tigers having played three games less than most are to be watched

Cemaes Bay played hosts to draw specialists Newborough but found in a goal scoring bonanza that Newbwch’ prefer the full three points as the game finished 4-5. Nathan Moore hitting a brace, Phil Boakes, Daffydd Harries and Rob Hughes for the winners.
