LLANGOED HUMBLE NEWLY CROWNED CHAMPIONS

By McCann Dave

WITH GOALS FROM PARRY AND MCkENNA

Llangoed and District welcomed newly crowned KonX Wales Anglesey League CHAMPIONS VALLEY with the respect they deserved......off the field.

Once on the field it was a different matter as they set about their visitors with purpose and confidence. Tom Parry and Charlie McKenna exchanged passes leaving Parry clear to run on and leave the keeper helpless. [1-0]. The Champions couldn't say they hadn't seen it coming as they had been called on to clear off the goal-line three times before the goal.

It got worse for the Champions as Parry and McKenna both combined once again, this time McKenna finding the net.

Valley did fight back and Shaun Jenkins ended a run in on the home keeper with a powerful shot that bounced `clear' off the keeper. When I say clear, the ball almost reached the half-way line but it found Liam Patrick Williams - scorer of two goals on Saturday in the title clash, and he deliberately floated the ball; over the stranded keeper and into the net [2-1]

Was this the anticipated fight back!!. Certainly not as far as Llangoed & District were concerned as they continued to trouble their illustrious visitors on route to a famous and deserved victory
