REPORTS
Mynydd Llandegai welcomed Bodorgan Juniors in this Group B, Bwlch Car-Boot cup fixture, and set about not allowing them to settle and they went ahead thanks to Richard Hayes, and despite the visitors finding the net through Elliott Patterson, two goals from Lewis Hall gave the hosts breathing space. Mynydd were now well in control and added further goals from LIam Owen and Colin Ball to record a comfortable 5-1 verdict.

Bethesda, in the same group kicked off and almost immediately were on the back foot with Llangoed pressing all over the pitch but without actually causing the hosts goal any problems, once again it was the same old story – chances created but going begging for the team in gold.
Then in the 44th minute the visitors got it right, the ball broke in the home penalty box for Carwyn Williams to squad the ball to Owain Roberts who gleefully grabbed the chance to notch his first competitive goal since returning to the club and finally put Llangoed 1-0 up. But to be fair to the Bethesda youngsters – nine of the squad aged just sixteen, didn't deserve to go in 1-0 down after a determine, doggedly, defensive display.
The second half kicked off and suddenly it was a different Llangoed, attacking with more intent and directness. Carwyn Williams again in the thick of it twisting and turning on the edge of the Bethesda box and the defender hacked him down last season top scorer Wayne Thomas finally shook some dust off his boots and hammered the free kick home for his first of the season.
On 62 minutes the man who seemed to be involved in every Llangoed attacking move, Carwyn Williams deservedly added his name to the score sheet when Wayne Thomas played him through and he span with the ball slightly behind him to hit the ball into the roof of the net on the volley from just inside the right hand side of the box an incredibly tight angle.
On 75 minutes, Wayne Thomas doubled his tally when a long ball from Charlie McKenna sent him through and a bit of a fumble from the home keeper left the marksman with the simplest of finishes.
Seven minutes later from a Wayne Thomas corner kick, the ball was perfection for captain Nick Williams to leap and head into the opposite top corner from the edge of the box an exquisite finish from the centre half.
To round off an excellent second half display from Llangoed Matty Owen was not to be out done by anyone when he cracked a shot from wide on the left of the pitch some 40 yards out which flew past the gloves man into the top corner of the net.

After match quote from a delighted Llangoed manager, Vinny Walker, “,The score line wasn't the most impressive part of the display the fact we stopped a decent Bethesda side from having a single shot in the game was by far the most pleasing aspect of the performance.”

League leaders, Holyhead Town who enjoyed a narrow 3-2 verdict over Bryngwran in a recent league fixture welcomed them back in the Bwlch Car-Boot cup, and it did not take them long to realize they were in for a difficult afternoon as the Bulls set siege on the home defence. They went ahead courtesy of an own goal but needed no help in scoring four more of their own. Livewire, Dale Jones struck twice, his second after waving his way round two players before finding the net, and further goals followed through Nathan Lewis and Andrew Bailey. Holyhead to their credit weighed in with two goals , Tom Parry and Luke Pleming but the day belonged to the Bulls collecting three points as they look to head group A en-route to the final wire
