Captain Marvel Dylan Jones headed the winner at Holy Isle to progress into the IPP Cup semi-final

Having already drawn in the league this season there was never going to be much between these 2 sides but it was Bro who came out on top to take the cup tie, despite the hosts creating enough chances to have clinched the game...
Bro pushed from the offset and took the game to the hosts as the Holyhead team looked to conquer on the break.
Jordan Scott tried his luck but could not keep his shot down and at the other end Isle's striking partnership, Barry Haigh & Gethin Rowlands, were combining well but unable to produce any quality finishing.
Sweetser-Hawkes scrambled away Eric Leach from Holy Isle's deflected shot before a neat chest down from Haigh set up Rowlands who could only blaze over.
Scott had to watch his goal bound effort cleared off the goal line but moments later Bro took the lead.
After an excellent performance last week, including a stoppage time goal, Liam Griffiths carried on where he left off ,this time stepping inside his marker and unleashing a sweet low finish past Kieran Weeks to put Bro 1 up.
Scott upfront was a handful in the 1st half and his strong run lead to Taylor Jones clattering a shot back off the post and Griffiths having the rebound crowded out as Bro pushed for a 2nd.
Ex Bro player Rowlands again found himself in another good attacking position but could only fire straight at Hawkes.
Stuart Jewell tried his luck from a long distance free kick but was thwarted by the nimble keeper.
Half Time 0-1.

It was not to be Rowlands' day as early after the restart he failed to take a couple of chances, shooting over and then denied by Hawkes' excellent save with his feet.
Bro gained some breathing space in the tie after 55 minutes, going 2-0 up. A lofted free kick was not cleared effectively and after Weeks could only parry an effort from Captain Dylan Jones produced a bullet of a diving header finish into the net.
The key passing battle in the centre of the pitch was being evenly matched and Bro's vocal centre half's, Dylan Jones & Tom Galloway, were battling hard to keep Holy Isle's forwards at bay.
A lifeline in the tie was created for Holy Isle with still plenty of time remaining and it was to come from curious circumstances.
Match Official Arfon Jones awarding a free kick to the home side after he alleged Sweetser-Hawkes had stepped out of his penalty area whilst kicking up field from his hands. Regular goalscorer for various clubs over the years, Barry Haigh, stepped up and expertly fired the ball through the crowded box and into the back of the net.
Holy Isle tried all they could to take the game into extra time but came up against a spirited Bro performance that were in a determined mood whose back guard stood firm to book a place into the semi-final of this cup competition.
Full-Time 1-2.
