WITHOUT THE NEED FOR LIFE JACKETS !!

KonX Wales Anglesey Football League
SATURDAY 2nd of JANUARY 2016
The KonX Wales Anglesey League resumed after the Christmas / New Year break, and following the enforced break due to the atrocious weather, but with just the two games.
In the league, Llanfairpwll reserves who had not played for FIVE weeks made up for it with a FIVE goal blast against hosts Llanfairfechan. Despite the break, Shaun Morris quickly picked up from where he left off – finding the net, and putting Llanfaitpwll ahead with just six minutes on the clock... Three minutes later the hosts found the net, but unfortunately it was their own, giving the visitors a two nil lead. Three more minutes and it was three – nil, thanks to Alan Hughes.
Despite some good play by Llanfairfechan creating an opportunity or two they weren’t able to pull one back, Greg Parry increased the lead with the fourth [45] It was left to Shaun Morris to complete the scoring with the fifth, his second, to secure three more precious points in their chase of leaders Bro Goronwy. Although Bro’s lead is reduced, they still have a TEN point `cushion, Llanfairpqwll’ will quickly point to their three games in hand.

IN round 1 of the HUWS GRAY Megan Cup Pentraeth Reserves welcomed Valley in what turned out to be an entertaining game. The two teams spent the first twenty minutes weighing each other up before Aled Jones put the hosts ahead [23] and which separated the teams at the break.
Thirteen minutes into the second half Rhys Melir Jones was hauled down in the box, he got to his feet, brushed himself down, and tucked the spot kick away [2 v 0]. Valley were quick to reply and Jerome Sillence pulled one back to make for an exciting finish. But with Valley going all out for an equalizer, Lewis Owen struck to settle the tie with Pentraeths third.
