VALLEY JOY AT THE DEATH..............

THANKS TO BOYLAN 90TH MINUTE PEN

In another exciting close encounter, Valley looked like dropping two vital home points against local rivals Trearddur Bay with the scores level at 2-2 and the ninety minutes already up. The visitors were quick out of the starting blocks and struck first through Jordan Jones after just ten minutes. There was little between the two sides and Valley got back into the game with Shane Boylan sending a looping header over the keeper to level [20], and despite both sides probing to get their noses in front, the break arrived with the score still dead-locked at 1-1.
The second half saw the raiding Barry Roberts send a deep cross into the box where Shaun Jenkins was on hand for a tap-in and put the hosts in front for the first time. But undaunted, back came Trearddur and Dan Connelly set off on a run and then from some25 yards blasted an unstoppable shot into the top left corner of the goal. Valley suffered another blow with some, ten minutes remaining when they lost’ a player to a second yellow and with the visitors having matched them with eleven, they needed to `hang on’ to at least get a point out of the game and so with time up it looked like the points were to be shared. But Valley’s luck was in when Match Official Heinz Broering spotted an infringement in the box and with time added on for the kick to be taken he awarded a penalty to Valley. Step forward Captain `cool’, and Captain Shane Boylan made no mistake to snatch a winner that may have been cruel on the visitors but moved Valley in third place
