MORAWELON BRIDGE THE GAP ON LEADERS

WITH FIVE GOAL BLAST AT ABERFFRAW

In the KonX Wales Anglesey League, Morawelon took the advantage to make ground up on leaders Pentraeth thanks to a five goal blast at Aberffraw. With striker Asa Thomas now back to his best after a long lay-off through injury, and his fellow strikers firing on all cylinders the hosts were never given a chance to settle. It was Thomas who gave Mora the lead with his snap shot beating keeper Roberts ad going in of the inside of the post [15]. Barry Haigh then made it two from inside the box, tucking away a Thomas pass [25]. Thomas then made it three as Beffro struggled to cope with the visitors attacking force [38]. The second half was much of the same and inevitably the name Murphy was soon on the score sheet as first Dale struck and was followed by Jordan before Darren Rowlands ended a good move by the hosts to hit a consolation goal.
