A PLACE IN kONX WALES DARGIE CUP QUARTER-FINAL

The one outstanding tie in the KonX Wales Dargie Cup, saw Menai Bridge Tigers roar in to the quarter-finals, with a comfortable 5-0 verdict at Llanfairpwll Res.

They took the lead with just eight minutes on the clock when leading scorer Lance Williams headed home an Andrew Barker cross and nine minutes later he struck again when played clear and ran on to fire past the keeper to double their lead.

Little had been seen of the home attack in the first period butin the seecond half,a stunning free kick by Ricky Roberts saw visiting keeper Deion Lewis at full stretch to turn it away for a corner. That was quickly followed at the other end by a Dylan Roberts strike from well outside the box [68] and Roberts struck again [78] to make it four nil . With both Lance Williams and Dylan Roberts looking to complete their hat-trick, it was an unselfish gesture when Williams , unmarked in the 6 yard box, let the ball run to Roberts stood just behind him, who struck his shot firmly to find the net between the keeper and the near post and register his hat-trick.

The Tigers will now travel to meet Llandegfan Antelope in the quarter-finals.

The full Quarter-final draw now read:-
tie 1 Llangefni Res. v CPD Pentraeth
tie 2 Llangoed & District v Amlwch Town Res.
tie 3 Morawelon v CPD Aberffraw
tie 4 Llandegfan 'Antelope v Menai B. T.
