FOR AMLWCH TOWN RESERVES AT CEMAES

Friday night football returned to Cemaes with the KonX Wales Anglesey League fixture against Amlwch Town Reserves, who they had beaten earlier in a cup completion to register their only victory this season.

In a game that produced ten goals, in front of a large crowd, Cemaes Bay took the lead with less than five minutes on the clock, thanks to a Liam Holland strike and he home supporters probably thought they were going to repeat the previous victory. Unfortunately, for the home spectators the visitors then took over and Ioan Hughes making his debut equalized and he then put the visitors ahead after keeper Dylan Jones had made a save but the ball ran free to him, and minutes later Hughes completed his hat-trick to make it 3-1 at the break. The second half saw injured Bay keeper Jones go off and tom Higgott take over between the sticks and it wasn’t long before he was picking the ball out of the net, a long range effort from Shaun Daniel making it four. Substitute Dan Jones added a fifth a minute after his introduction on the hour mark after a one-two with Hughes, and Hughes himself scored Town’s sixth and his fourth a minute later. Then substitute Shaun Thomas hit a quick double before Hughes ending the match claiming his fifth in a nine one victory.
